It is recommended that you do not exceed 3-4 cups of green tea, which allows you to not go beyond the recommended average daily doses of 300 mg of caffeine. Due to a suspected hepatotoxic effect, especially if green tea is consumed on an empty stomach, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends consuming it with food.
